Terms of sale and service
Draft for approval · 11 October 2026
1. Who you are buying from
These terms apply to purchases from Alsense Motorsport SRL and use of our website, Video One Pro, Video One Paddock, mobile app, streaming and cloud services. Our VAT number is RO 42664225 and our address is Eufrosina Popescu 61, Bucharest, 031681, Romania. Email office@alsense.eu for orders, support, cancellations or complaints.
Some provisions apply specifically to consumers: individuals buying mainly outside their trade or profession. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights. If you buy through a reseller, your purchase contract is with that reseller; any applicable Alsense manufacturer warranty remains separate.
2. Hardware, software and connected services
Video One Pro includes onboard recording, overlays and lap timing, together with Video One Paddock and the mobile app. Paddock provides video and data analysis, overlay and track editing, and device preview and configuration. The mobile app provides video preview and quick configuration. Supported platforms and system requirements are shown on the relevant product and download pages.
Streaming and cloud features require a separate subscription. The included recording, overlay, timing and analysis functions do not require a paid subscription. Internet-based functions still require a connection and, where applicable, an account. You supply your own SIM and mobile data plan.
We grant you a non-exclusive right to use our software with compatible Alsense products. Intellectual property in the software remains with its owners, and separate open-source licence terms continue to apply to their components. We will provide updates required by applicable law. Install relevant security and compatibility updates and follow the published installation instructions.
3. Orders, prices and delivery
The product description, price, taxes, delivery charges and any agreed delivery date are presented before you place an order. Prices are in euros. Where a displayed price excludes VAT, this is stated; the total payable, including applicable VAT and shipping, must be shown before payment. Business VAT treatment depends on the transaction and applicable rules, not simply on having a VAT number.
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send an order acceptance or paid-order confirmation, rather than a message merely acknowledging receipt. If we cannot accept an order, we will tell you and return any payment taken. We will seek your agreement before substituting an item or changing an agreed delivery date.
Delivery estimates and any preorder arrangements are stated before purchase. If a delay occurs, we will explain the available options. Consumer rights relating to late delivery remain unaffected. For consumer purchases, the risk of loss normally passes when you or your nominated recipient receives the goods. Report delivery damage promptly so we can help; this does not shorten your legal rights.
4. Subscriptions and recurring payments
Each subscription covers one Video One Pro. The selected plan sets the streaming allowance, storage, viewer limits and other included features. The price, billing period and any additional usage charges are shown before you subscribe.
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Annual subscriptions are paid upfront and renew automatically each year until cancelled. The recurring price and billing period are shown before you subscribe. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your subscription remains active until the end of the month or year already paid for.
You can request cancellation by emailing office@alsense.eu from your account address. We will confirm the effective date. Any account cancellation facility offered by the service is an additional way to cancel. Cancellation does not normally create a refund for the unused part of a paid period, but statutory withdrawal rights and remedies for a faulty service still apply.
Usage above your allowance may incur the additional charges disclosed for your plan. Any permissions or spending limits you set must be respected. You remain responsible for authorised usage incurred before cancellation takes effect.
If a payment fails, we will notify you and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve it before restricting paid access, unless immediate action is needed to prevent fraud. We will give advance notice of changes to recurring prices, so you can cancel before a new price applies. An agreed prepaid period is not repriced retrospectively.
5. Your cloud library when a subscription ends
When your paid subscription ends, paid streaming and cloud features stop. Your existing cloud library remains available to download for 60 days and is then removed. Onboard recording, overlays, timing and local analysis continue without a subscription.
Download any files you want to keep before the retention period ends. Closing your account or asking for earlier deletion may affect access, so arrange any export first. We will explain the consequences when handling your request. This does not limit your data protection rights or any statutory right to retrieve content.
6. Consumer withdrawal and returns
If you are a consumer buying at a distance, you normally have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. For goods, the period starts when you or your nominated recipient receives them; for services, it starts when the contract is concluded. Statutory exceptions apply only where their conditions are met.
Tell us before the deadline by emailing office@alsense.eu, writing to our address above, or using an available online withdrawal function. Include enough information to identify the order. You may use the model notice below, but it is not compulsory. An approval or return authorisation is not required to exercise this right.
Send goods back within 14 days of notifying us. You pay the direct return cost for a change-of-mind return, provided this was disclosed before purchase. We cover the costs required by law for faulty or incorrectly supplied goods. You may inspect a product as you would in a shop; you may be responsible for a reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
We refund the purchase price and the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed without a fee. For goods, we may wait until we receive them or proof of return, whichever comes first. Premium delivery charges above the standard option need not be refunded.
If you expressly request a paid service to begin during the withdrawal period and the required information has been provided, a proportionate charge may be due for service supplied before withdrawal. Starting a subscription does not automatically remove your withdrawal right.
Model withdrawal notice: To Alsense Motorsport SRL, Eufrosina Popescu 61, Bucharest, 031681, Romania; office@alsense.eu. I/we notify you that I/we withdraw from the contract for the following goods or services: [description and order number]. Ordered on/received on: [date]. Consumer name and address: [details]. Date: [date]. Signature: [only if sent on paper].
7. Faults and the three-year warranty
Consumers have statutory rights if goods or digital services do not conform to the contract. These include the EU minimum two-year legal guarantee for goods, and rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or termination where the legal conditions are met. Any longer protection under applicable law continues to apply.
In addition, Alsense offers a three-year commercial warranty for Video One Pro, beginning on delivery. The proposed warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship during normal intended use, including motorsport use within the published operating limits. For a covered fault, we will repair or replace the product without charge, including necessary transport.
This additional warranty does not cover normal wear or damage caused by a crash, incorrect installation, misuse or operation outside the published limits. A modification does not remove all cover automatically; an exclusion applies only where it caused or contributed to the fault. These exclusions do not reduce statutory rights.
Contact office@alsense.eu with the order details or other proof of purchase, device serial number and a description of the fault. We will explain the next steps and return arrangements. Warranty coverage and the applicable territory must also be supplied in a durable warranty statement with the product.
8. Accounts, recordings and responsible use
Keep account credentials secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access. If you act for a company or team, you must be authorised to do so. You are responsible for the permissions and viewing links you share, but you are not automatically responsible for activity caused by a failure in our own security.
You retain ownership of your video, telemetry and other content. You give us the permissions needed to transmit, store and process content to provide the services you request. This does not give us permission to use your recordings in advertising.
Only record or share material you are entitled to use. Respect privacy, intellectual property, venue rules and any applicable recording restrictions. Do not attempt to access another person’s device or account, bypass access controls, distribute unlawful content or interfere with the service.
Install and secure the equipment correctly. Make adjustments when it is safe to do so. Streaming, telemetry and lap timing are not safety-critical systems and must not be relied on to control a vehicle or replace safety procedures.
9. Availability and responsibility
Streaming performance depends on network coverage, capacity, device setup and the viewer’s connection. Advertised latency describes the relevant service under suitable conditions, rather than a guaranteed delay on every connection. Interruptions may also occur during maintenance or because of faults.
We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the service and take reasonable steps to address faults. Keep separate copies of recordings that matter to you. This advice does not remove our responsibility where loss is caused by our breach.
Neither party is responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable as a consequence of its breach. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or personal injury where applicable law requires it. Mandatory consumer remedies remain available.
10. Suspension, termination and changes
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a serious security risk, a material breach of these terms or unpaid charges. Where practical, we will explain the issue and allow time to put it right. Urgent action may be necessary to protect people, data or the service.
If we permanently discontinue a paid service for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will give reasonable notice, provide a reasonable opportunity to retrieve content and refund the unused prepaid service period. Statutory rights apply where a service change or termination affects you.
Changes to these terms will not alter an existing hardware purchase retrospectively. For ongoing services, we will explain material changes and give advance notice. Where required by law, you may reject a material change or end the affected contract without penalty.
11. Privacy, complaints and applicable law
Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data and how to exercise your rights. Contact office@alsense.eu if you have a complaint, including the relevant order or account details and the outcome you are seeking.
Romanian law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections applicable in your country of habitual residence. It does not remove your right to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable consumer law. You may also contact the competent consumer protection authority.
